Prof. Rephael Zeltser is a world renowned specialist in his field of specializations
He headed the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Rehabilitation at Hadassah Hebrew University Medical Center in Jerusalem for 13 years.
He is a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery licensed by the Ministry of Health in Israel.
In addition, he has a sub-specialization in congenital facial malformations in infants, children, and adults at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
Prof. Zeltser is a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Dentistry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem - he teaches and trains generations of students and surgical residents in the field.
Patients come from all over the world for consultation and surgical treatment because of his rich clinical and academic experience concomitant with pain research and his special personality.
As a surgeon in a major tertiary referral hospital, he has been exposed to a wide range of cases, including pathology, oral and dental reconstruction, injuries, and malformations.
He diagnoses and operates on benign and malignant tumors of the oral cavity and jaws, oral rehabilitation surgeries - sinus lift, bone grafts and dental implants, and complications resulting from failed oral rehabilitation surgeries.
Moreover, he treats complex surgical tooth extractions in children and adults with a high risk of nerve damage, risk of sinus floor rupture due to tooth displacement, excess teeth in children and adults, removal of foreign bodies and fragments, and reconstruction after terror attacks and accidents.
Among his collaborative team surgeries, he treats patients needing E.N.T. and oral surgeries, and orthodontic oral surgeries.

He has published dozens of articles in international scientific journals and chapters in medical books in his field of specialization.
Prof. Zeltser is an examiner for the oral and maxillofacial surgery specialization exams on behalf of the National Scientific Council.
Member of the medical committees for determining the degree of disability on behalf of the National Insurance Institute.
Each year Prof. Zeltser donate of his time to teach and prepare young Oral and Maxillofacial residents, coming from all surgical departments in Israel, towards the final exams to obtain the specialist degree in this field.
